BS-83 is a monolithic HPC Terrazzo concrete bench designed for contemporary urban, public and landscape environments. Its clean concrete form is combined with natural marble or granite aggregates, transforming the bench from a functional piece of urban furniture into an integral part of the architectural environment.
Restrained geometry and different surface finish options allow BS-83 to integrate naturally into a wide range of projects – from minimalist city squares and contemporary architectural settings to parks, promenades and landscape architecture.
HPC Terrazzo – Concrete with the Character of Natural Stone
BS-83 is made from fibre-reinforced High Performance Concrete (HPC) with natural marble or granite aggregates of defined sizes. The stone aggregate is integrated into the concrete structure during production, making the visible Terrazzo texture an integral part of the material rather than an additional decorative layer.
Different combinations of natural stone and concrete colours allow the material expression of the bench to be coordinated with the specific architectural or landscape concept of each project.
Two Distinct Surface Expressions
BS-83 can be produced with a fully polished concrete surface or with a combination of contrasting surface textures.
The fully polished version reveals the natural structure of the marble or granite throughout the entire product, giving the bench a refined and visually coherent architectural expression.
Alternatively, the side surfaces can feature a textured exposed-aggregate finish, while the seating surface remains smooth and polished. The contrast between the two textures emphasises the monolithic geometry of the bench and highlights the natural character of the material.
Surface Protection
The concrete surface is additionally treated with a protective coating that helps reduce water absorption and dirt accumulation while improving resistance to weather exposure.
This is particularly important in intensively used public spaces, where urban furniture is continuously exposed to moisture, precipitation and urban environmental conditions.
Architectural Freedom
The strength of BS-83 lies in the ability to combine colour, natural stone structure and contrasting surface textures within a single monolithic form.
Polished Terrazzo creates a more refined and visually unified expression, while the combination of textured exposed aggregate and a polished seating surface can further emphasise the geometry of the product.

HPC Terrazzo
Natural marble or granite aggregate in a 2–5 mm fraction is integrated directly into the concrete mass during production. It is not a decorative layer applied to the surface – finishing the concrete reveals the natural stone structure, giving the surface its individual character.
Surface Finish
The concrete surface is additionally treated with a hydrophobic protection system and protective lacquer to reduce water absorption and dirt accumulation and to help protect the surface from weather exposure.
Depending on the selected finish, a “Wet Look” effect is available. Surface finish options depend on the specific product model.
