Concrete bicycle stand 'RAVAL' made of UHPC concrete

The Raval bicycle stand reflects the new criteria for modern urban mobility, especially important in large cities. Its design allows two bicycles to be securely attached at three points. The triangular cross-section optimizes resistance to impacts and bending, with a stainless steel frame inside.
"Raval" is an Arabic word meaning "neighborhood" or "suburb," and it corresponds to "raval" and "arrabal" in Catalan and Spanish, respectively. The chosen name refers to the popular neighborhood in Barcelona, also found in the names of many cities in Spain and the Mediterranean region.
This stand redefines an established product and is based on UHPC (Ultra High Performance Concrete) technology, allowing minimal thickness while providing excellent structural strength and improved resistance to erosion and weather conditions.
The stand is made from a single UHPC Slimconcrete block reinforced with stainless steel. The anchoring system consists of a double-grooved cylinder with a 20 cm depth, fixed to the pavement using resin mortar. Holes were pre-drilled with a 220 mm diameter drill with a pendulum mechanism.

• Small architecture products: metal benches, loungers, stands, bike racks, trash bins, etc., are either concreted into the ground or anchored to a solid base.
