“Io Shelter 2 Modules” is a contemporary design public transport shelter created so that every waiting moment is comfortable, safe and aesthetic. The modular construction allows the creation of various configurations that adapt to any urban environment – from a modern city centre to historic districts or residential zones. This shelter combines top-quality materials, a robust construction and an innovative design, ensuring durability, resilience and visual appeal.

Creative design and advanced construction
The load-bearing parts are made of galvanized steel rectangular-section profiles, with base plates at the bottom for anchoring to the ground. Every element is laser-cut with precision, giving the structure accuracy, clean lines and elegant appearance. The upper covering consists of shaped galvanized sheet metal panels with gently rounded corners, emphasising the modern design character.

Technical features
• Modular structure: the shelter consists of two modules, each with a rear and upper covering of transparent laminated safety glass.
• Fixing: the rear glass part is secured to the structure with stainless steel supports; the upper part is mounted into a galvanized steel frame with gaskets ensuring tightness and protection from moisture.
• Lighting: lighting modules are accommodated in the front part of the shelter canopy. All electrical components are enclosed in a special compartment inside the structure, with a power-cable outlet at the base.
• Safe anchoring: each module is anchored to the ground using special brackets and templates, preventing the structure from tilting or shifting even under strong wind.

Comfort and functionality
An internal bench is provided in the shelter, designed for comfortable waiting and ergonomically adapted to public spaces. The bench frame is made of galvanized steel profiles with subtle shape curves, and the seating part is covered with high-quality okumé wood slats. The bench has special fixing holes to ensure stability and safety in high-use areas. This model includes a short bench (code 604-PE-O-PC) – an ideal solution for compact spaces or narrower waiting zones.

Customization and environmental resistance
“Io Shelter 2 Modules” can be customized to the client’s or city’s requirements. The standard structure colour is anthracite grey (RAL 7016), while the bench is finished in deep purple-red (RAL 3004HR) with subtle texture. On request any RAL colour and surface finish can be selected so that the shelter perfectly integrates into the surrounding architecture. The entire structure is coated with thermo-reactive powder paints that provide:
• high corrosion and UV resistance,
• long service life and low maintenance,
• preserved aesthetics even after many years of use.

Safety and quality – certified to EU standards
The “Io Shelter” bus stop is not just a piece of street furniture but a certified structure complying with EN 1090-1:2009 + A1:2011. This means that all structural components and assembly works are carried out in certified factories, ensuring the highest level of quality, reliability and safety. This certification confirms that “Io Shelter” meets European Union quality requirements; consequently it is long-lasting, safe and reliable in any public-transport waiting area.

Wood:

• Okume wood, hardwood
• Iroko, exotic hardwood. Iroko wood is one of the most popular and durable wood types, which, when selected properly, ensures impeccable aesthetics and resistance to changing climatic conditions. The Iroko wood used in urban furniture is a tropical hardwood, highly resistant to temperature fluctuations, moisture, and winter cold.
• The products are impregnated with oil 3 times or lacquered and prepared for outdoor use. Colors: Available color variants from the manufacturer.
• The thickness of the wooden slats: 3-4 cm and more.

Metal:

• Stainless steel AISI 304
• Galvanized steel. Painted metal (RAL colors from the manufacturer’s provided variants).
• The metal is primed with an anti-corrosive zinc primer and coated with powder paint suitable for outdoor conditions (colors can be chosen from the manufacturer’s RAL palette).

Bolts:

• Bolts and connecting details are made from galvanized steel.

Bus shelter pavilion roof and sides can be made of:

• Tempered glass – safe, impact resistant and weatherproof, ensuring transparency and a modern aesthetic.

Installation / Mounting:

• Small architecture products: metal benches, loungers, stands, bike racks, trash bins, etc., are either concreted into the ground or anchored to a solid base.
